Quick guide to our cutting boards
End Grain Cutting Board
Pros:
Easy on knives. Each cut goes between wood fibers so your knife blade is absorbed by the cutting board rather than hitting a solid surface. this protects the edge of your knife.
Self healing. I don’t mean it will make your balance better, I mean the fibers on your cutting board naturally close after every cut.
Very durable. The self healing fibers mean this cutting board will last years longer than any plastic or bamboo cutting board. Chop away.
Heavy. A nice heavy cutting board means it wont move on you when you’re dicing away.
Eye catching. End grain is a unique look to have and its not as common as other cutting boards. This is a great piece to have out and show off. As far as cutting boards go, its by far the crème de la crop, visually and functionally.
Cons:
Dries faster. Unfortunately this means your board will need to be rehydrated more often. Luckily we have the perfect Wood Conditioner in our store. Use promo CONDITIONER for $2 off.
Steeper price. Due to the complexity and extra time it takes to craft an end grain cutting board, the price tends to be higher.
Heavy. The pros definitely outweigh the cons here, however; if you’re used to cheap plastic or bamboo cutting boards, it can be quite a surprise.
